[NEWS] TVXQ’s Japanese single “Still” certified gold

The duo TVXQ continues to prove its status as one of Hallyu representatives in Japan, writing another new record in the country.

On April 11th, TVXQ’s new Japanese single “Still” was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan as of the month of March. (A gold certification requires cumulatives sales of more than 100,000 copies) Released on March 14th, the single sold more than 100,000 copies within 2 days.

TVXQ has certainly taken Japan by storm with “Still”. The single debuted #1 on Oricon Daily Singles chart by selling over 84,000 copies on the first day. It hasn’t died down and continued its reign on the weekly chart.

“Still” also marked TVXQ’s 10th weekly #1 single album, the first for foreign singer in Japan in 45 years since Oricon started ranking sales.
