On April 11th, the Wednesday-Thursday dramas “Rooftop Prince” and “The King 2Hearts” will not be broadcast, due to the 19th National Assembly Election. Replacing bothe dramas will be the programs for the ballot counts and election results.

In the absence of the two leading dramas, many are intrigued to see if “The Equator Man”, which will still air on April 11th, will be able to attract more viewers. After having quite disappointing viewer ratings, some are expecting that the drama will soar high in the absence of the two shows.

In the previous week, “The Equator Man” managed to score 10.2% in the ratings. “The King 2Hearts” descended on the second spot with 12.1% ratings and the “Rooftop Prince” recorded the highest viewership ratings with 12.5%.

“The Equator Man” unravels the theme of the human desire and confronts conflicts caused by love and forgiveness. Its cast includes Uhm Tae Woong, Lee Bo Young, Lee Joon Hyuk, Lim Jung Eun and more.

The latest Korean romance film ‘Introduction to Architecture’ is wowing at the box office, and surpassed the one million mark in just eight days since its release.

According to the Korean Film Council′s Compiled Ticket Computer Network, ‘Introduction to Architecture’ brought in 1,000,286 moviegoers since its premiere eight days ago on March 22 and stayed at the top of the box office.

The film is also set to exceed the popularity of past hits of the same genre such as “Late Autumn” (2010) and “Closer to Heaven” (2010).

Male moviegoers are the backbone of the movie’s sales, an unusual path to success for a romantic drama. Critics have said that ‘Introduction to Architecture’ especially resonates with the nostalgia men feel for their past loves.

‘Introduction to Architecture’ is a romantic story that expands on the memories of ‘first love’ between two college students who meet again as adults. The movie stars Uhm Tae Woong, Han Ga In, Lee Je Hoon and Suzy.

Singer Lee Hyori relayed her opinion on the movie "Introduction to Architecture."

On March 27th, Lee Hyori updated her Twitter saying, "Oppa. I enjoyed 'Introduction to Architecture.' I keep thinking about it."

Upon reading the singer's tweet, actor Uhm Tae Woong left a witty response saying, "Check out Man of the Equator." Man of the Equator is a new drama airing on KBS2, and Uhm Tae Woong plays the lead role.

The much-anticipated movie "Introduction to Architecture" finally hit the local theaters on March 22nd. The movie, which starring Uhm Tae Woong, Han Ga In, Suzy, and Lee Jae Hoon, enjoyed a successful opening day and placed first in the daily box office.

According to the Korean Film Council′s Compiled Ticket Computer Network, "Introduction to Architecture" topped the daily box office, drawing in 66,506 viewers.

"Helpless", which stars Lee Seon Gyun, placed second with 49,353. It premiered March 8 and has a cumulative attendance of 1,799,216. The movie held onto the top stop in the box office for two consecutive weeks until the release of "Introduction to Architecture."

Actress Uhm Jung Hwa sent out her apology for not attending the VIP premiere of her brother Uhm Tae woong's movie "Introduction to Architecture."

The actress posted on her Twitter on March 14th, "I didn't go to the press preview of the movie 'Introduction to Architecture', I am his sister."

Uhm Jung Hwa continued, "I am happy about the good reviews that have been coming up. I will watch it on the day it's released my brother! I am sorry I didn't go!"

On March 13th, the highly anticipated film, "Introduction to Architecture" held its VIP premiere at the Lotte Cinemas in Seoul. The A-list cast including Uhm Tae Woong, Han Ga In, Lee Jae Hoon and Suzy as well as fellow top stars and friends attended the event.

In promoting the romantic film “Introduction to Architecture,” its stars open up about their first loves for fans at a press conference on March 13.

Actress Han Ga In said that the theme song of the film reminded her of her first romance, saying she was able to draw inspiration from those feelings.

“What I remember most distinctly about my first love are the walks we used to take and the music we used to listen to together,” she said.

The 30-year-old actress said that she felt nostalgic while watching the finished film “due to aging, I suppose.”

Meanwhile, her co-star Uhm Tae Woong said that he only wanted to say thank you to his first love for affording him the experience, adding “I hope that you are happy wherever you are.”

Suzy from miss A didn’t play along, though, and said that she was still waiting for her first love, a quip that drew laughs from audience members.

“Introduction to Architecture” tells the story of two university students who meet in an introductory architecture class and fall in love. The story unfolds in the future when the two are reunited after the female student tracks down her first love to seek his help in building her house. It will open on March 22.
