YG Entertainment artists do more than entertain, they give back to the community as well. Members of the agency chipped in to help out in opening a children’s rehabilitation hospital.
Rapper Sean, Big Bang member Daesung, and actress Yoo In Na all reportedly donated a total of 30 million won through the “$10 Miracle Project” under the “YG With Campaign”.
The “YG With Campaign” is led by The Purme Foundation ambassador, Sean, who’s been asking people to donate $10 a day for a year, to amount to $3,650 per person to give to children in need. Even the makeup brand Kiehl got involved by organizing a charity event, “Kiehl's Mr. Bone Project”.
Over 1,500 celebrities participated in the campaign throughout its run so far, including YG artists: PSY, Big Bang, 2NE1, Se7en, Tablo, Gummy, Jinusean and more

Jinusean’s Sean recently shared a touching story about Eun Chong, revealing the need for specialized rehabilitation hospitals for severely handicapped kids like these in Korea.
On the episode of SBS’s Strong Heart that aired on 3 April at 11:15 pm, Sean, Big Bang, 2NE1, Se7en, Tablo, Psy, Gummy, etc. – 13 artists from YG Entertainment – appeared together as guests on the show and entertained viewers with their stories.
On that day, Sean, who is a father of 4 shared, “There’s a child named Eun Chong whom I know,” and proceeded to share his story and how he was born with 6 rare diseases.
When he was born, Eun Chong’s father had quite a shock as his newborn child looked different from other newborns because of an angioma*. While transferring the baby to a university hospital, Eun Chong’s father did not even have the heart to let his wife know (of the baby’s condition), for fear that she would be shocked.
However, when Eun Chong’s mother saw her child, who was covered with a dark red patch, she said, “Our child is really beautiful. Mummy is here,” and started breastfeeding her child. Explaining the situation, Sean said, “In the eyes of a mother, no matter what the child looks like, he/she is beautiful. The saying that every child is dear to his parents is really true.” His comments moved everyone present.
Continuing, Sean revealed, “Eun Chong was given less than a year to live and his parents were even advised to give up on him. However, thanks to his parents’ care, he is still living and is 9 years old now.”
Doctors also said that Eun Chong would not be able to walk or talk, but he is currently able to walk and talk, Sean continued, sharing the miraculous story.
Sean also touched everyone when he said that Eun Chong’s father was taking part in a triathlon with his son in order to show him more of the world and to overcome the prejudices people have.
Finally, Sean added, “We are raising funds to build a specialist hospital for handicapped children such as these. My wife and I have made the first step and we hope many people would join us.”
*Note: An angioma is a benign tumor consists of small blood vessels.

Singer Sean revealed that he has been humiliated by Big Bang fans.
On the SBS "Strong Heart" YG Special episode that was aired on March 27th, Sean confessed that Big Bang fans humiliated him, he said "A while ago I went to a lecture targeted to middle schoolers. But all of these young students thought I was a social welfare worker, rather than a singer."
He continued, "Recently, I got an SNS from a Big Bang fan asking if I had more shoes than Jiyoung oppa, so I was really shocked from that question because from the 1st generation of hip hop, I was the pioneer of having a collection of shoes."
Sean added, "I had nothing to say to the Big Bang fans. I ended up saying 'I have more kids than Jiyoung,'" which brought laughter to the set.
The YG Special of Strong Heart casts are Sean, Big Bang, 2NE1, Se7en, Tablo, Psy, and Gummy.

The second misconception was that ‘YGE parties often’ or ‘parties well’. At this, the members of the YG family all blamed PSY in a disapproving, yet joking manner, claiming that it is all his fault. Seungri explained, “Ever since PSY came into our company, the way we party and the atmosphere of the parties have changed,” and also created a riot of laughter within the studio when he showcased his imitation of PSY at the company get-togethers.
Lastly, the third misconception of the company was, ‘CEO Yang is an angel.’ At this, all of YG family cocked their heads from side to side, showing responses of disapproval. The YG Family special episode of SBS Strong Heart will air on the coming 27th and also the 4th of April.

YG Entertainment artists' series of donations to campaign for a good cause are currently making a stir amongst netizens.
On March 20, rapper
Sean tweeted, "Members of
Big Bang have each signed up for the '
10,000 Won Miracle'. They became the protagonists of the 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th miracles", and included a picture of Sean and the group.
Soon after, Sean tweeted with the 20th protagonist
Se7en and the 21st protagonist
2NE1. He wrote, "Se7en wanted to sign up for 7 accounts like his name and I barely convinced him not to."
He added, "'′10,000 Won Miracle' project’s 21st main character, 2NE1 has taken part to help fund the construction of a children’s hospital. Our 2NE1 cuties whose hearts are pretty too~ they even went to volunteer with me."
Sean and the Pureme Foundation are behind the '10,000 Won Miracle' project which asks for a donation of 10,000 won a day for 365 days to help fund Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital construction project.

The star charity couple Sean (39) and Jung Hye Young (38) have generously donated 100 million won to kids who grow up in poverty.
According to Holt's Children's Services on February 8th, the married couple known for their charitable acts, has been donating 100 million won a year each year for the past four years to the Holt Children's Services for supporting the children.
Including this year’s donation, Sean and Jung Hye Young have donated a total of 400 million won. The two said that they hope their donations will help these children to grow up with hopes and dreams despite their discouraging environments.
Holt's Children's Services stated, "This donation will be used for the children of critical households education support program, the ’2012 Dreams and Hopes Support Fund."
