[news] Korean group's reign the top spots on the Oricon album Daily Charts

Girl groups 2ne1 and Rainbow ranked side by side on the Oricon Daily Charts showing the continuous girl group influence in Japan. On the 28th of March, the two girl groups simultaneously released their respective albums, Rainbow released their album "Over the rainbow" and ranked 4th at the Daily charts.

2ne1 also released their new album "Collection" which contained over 12 songs including their new single "scream" and "like a virgin" which is their rendition of Madonna's original song, their album ranked 5th on the Daily Charts. Also, Big Bang released the Japanese version of their album "Alive" and did remarkably well in the Daily charts selling over 23,430 copies in a day ranking 2nd on the Oricon Charts while Dae Guk Nam Ah's fifth single "Jumping" sold over 7,864 and was ranked 3rd in the Oricon Daily Singles Chart.
