[News] Kangta, concerned of BoA representing SM on 'K-Pop Star'

Former H.O.T member Kangta shared his thoughts about labelmate BoA on representing SM Entertainment on SBS audition program "K-Pop Star".

During the press conference for Mnet's "Voice Korea" on February 7th, Kangta revealed, "To be honest with you, I was really concerned of BoA representing SM Entertainment".

He continued, "On ‘K-Pop Star’, you get to see SM, YG and JYP. But YG had YG and JYP had JYP, but SM sent BoA. I wasn’t too sure if BoA would do a good job representing SM Entertainment."

"But now she’s doing so well. She’s doing as good as Chairman Lee Soo Man in picking the right people with a lot of upside", Kangta added.

Meanwhile, Mnet's “Voice Korea” is the Korean-version of the popular multinational show, “The Voice.” Kangta, Shin Seung Hoon, Baek Ji Young, and Gil will be appearing on the show as coaches. The unique factor in this show is that the contestants perform in a blind audition format where the judges do not see the performer and only judge by hearing the singer’s voice.
