[News] Sunny Bridges the Generational Gap on Invincible Youth 2
Girls’ Generation’s Sunny has taken the title of a character who can find common ground with the 70s and 80s generations.
In celebration of the lunar new year, “Invincible Youth 2″ invited the father of comedy, Lim Haryong, to teach G8 about traditional foods and games. Lim Haryong, who met G8 for the first time, started the filming by calling each one of the members by their name and creating a peaceful and happy atmosphere. While explaining about the new year traditions, he asked questions relating to the foods that Koreans eat during lunar new year. However, G8, which consists of members in their late teens and early twenties who lived in the city for a long time, seemed to be taken aback because they did not have any special memories or have any knowledge of the new year traditions.
Girls’ Generation’s Sunny proved to be far ahead of the rest of the G8 members by knowing the answers to many questions that the others did not know. Lim Haryong was so surprised at Sunny that he asked, “How old are you really?” Hyoyeon added to this by saying, “In truth, Sunny’s nickname is ’60Sunny’. She was born in ’89 but she acts like someone from the 60s, so Girls’ Generation members named her that way.” At this, Lee Soogeun, who saw that Sunny had dyed her hair blonde said, “There’s a rumor that Sunny’s hair is not dyed blonde, but it’s her hair turning white”, causing everyone to burst out laughing.
Sunny’s rediscovery as “60Sunny” acted as the bridge between generations by explaining the old comedy of Lim Haryong to other G8 members who are not familiar with humor such as “Should I do that at my age”, “If only I were a week younger”, and acting out little vignettes such as “Humor House No.1″.
This episode of “Invincible Youth 2″ with the meeting of different generations will air on January 28th at 11:05pm KST.
