[News] IU holds successful first showcase in Japan

Teen singer IU took her successful first step into Japan with her official Japanese debut showcase.

On January 24th, IU held two showcases of her "Japan Premium Live" at the Bunkamura Orchard Hall, which is originally a performance hall for classical music. This venue was selected so that IU could most effectively deliver the best quality of music for her fans

In front of 4,000 enthusiastic fans, IU put up a passionate performance of her hits singles Mia, Rain Drop, Good Day and Last Fantasy live with the Tokyo New City Orchestra. The 40-member orchestra added to an overwhelming deepness to the sounds, that delivered a much more emotions to the audience.

IU stated, "I was only active in Korea, but I was surprised and thankful again to see that there were many people in Japan who loved my songs. I’ll be coming back with good music and good performances, so I hope to see your love and support."

Meanwhile, IU will be releasing her first full-length Japanese album on March 21st.
