Idol group TEEN TOP held fan meetings,“Teen Top Talk & Live,” over two days on December 19th and 20th at Tokyo’s Shibuya AX. Including an added show there were three shows held, in which they entranced fans with their fiery performances.

Teen Top, who recently received the Newcomer Award at the 18th annual Korean Entertainment Arts Awards, are a 6-member boys group with an average age of 17.3 whose popularity is on the rise in Japan as well.

They performed 8 songs at the event, including the lead song from their first mini-album, “No More Perfume on You,” the ballad song with the same title as their fan club which is dedicated to their fans, “Angel,” their debut song “Clap” and more. Performing in pairs, 16-year old Ricky and Changjo did a mature dance, C.A.P. and L.Joe did club music combined with rap, while vocalists Niel and Chunji gently let us hear the ballad “Yuki no hana” in Japanese.

During the talk, when the MC, who had not seen them since the event nearly 10 months prior, said that she felt they’d become more grown-up looking, it was revealed that Changjo, growing like a 16-year old, had gotten “7 or 8 centimeters taller. “ In the image quiz corner, wherein the other members and 3 fans selected by lottery answered questions presented by one member, in response to “what kind of gift would Ricky give to his child for Christmas?” and other unique questions, bewildering and strange answers came flying out. In the “triple-shot” (three-person) photo shoot, another 3 fans were selected to take a picture sandwiched between 2 group members, another event in which they enjoyed contact with their fans.

Partway through they said to the fans, “we’re happy to meet Japanese Angels. We love you.” In video messages they talked about the opening of their fan club, the deep impression left by (their visit to) Sapporo, and then their dream of “one day, having a solo concert.”

For the encore they changed into casual clothes and presented a Christmas song. With the message “in the beginning of January 2012, we’ll be making our comeback in Korea. Please support us because it’s a really cool song,” after the concert ended there was a high-five event for everybody who participated, keeping close to their fans to the end.

Furthermore, what took place on these days is planned to be shown with the name “TEENTOP TALK&LIVE” exclusively on Mnet Japan on February 18th 2012 beginning at 10 p.m.
