2NE1, who has reached out to the Japan public with an official debut this year, has confirmed plans to unveil a new album in February of next year.

On December 26th, YG Entertainment announced that 2NE1 will release a new Japanese album although its format and date of release has yet to be revealed. Agency official revealed, "2NE1 will be advancing into the Japanese market with a new album in February. Whether it will be a mini-album or a single has not been decided yet."

2NE1, who kicked off their singing career in Japan in September this year, took off to a favorable start topping the Oricon chart with their debut release in the country.
