The sound track of Winter Sonata summits the Japanese Oricon Chart

The commemorative album of the sound track of the animated version of Winter Sonata has climbed the top of Oricon Chart, Japan’s biggest music chart, last March 20. The album contains the songs like “From the Beginning until Now” and “My Memory”.

The animated version of Winter Sonata aired on Japan Sky Perfect TV from October 2009 to May 2010. In Korea, Winter Sonata, directed by Yoon Seok Ho, aired on KBS 2TV in 2002.

Oricon has released their latest weekly chart.

The results of Oricon’s weekly charts for the week of April 30th can be seen below..

<Single Weekly Ranking>
1. “Inori 〜Namida no Kidou/ End of the day/ peices” – Mr. Children : 4/18 (174,409)
2. “Be Mine” – INFINITE : 4/18 (50,473)
3. “Kimi ha Jitensya Watashi ha Densya de Kitaku” – ℃-ute : 4/18 (40,060)
4. “THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA MASTER 002 (Anzu no Uta)” – Futaba Anzu(CV Igarashi Hiromi) : 4/18 (37,326)
5. “1,000,000☆Smile” – SUPER☆GiRLS : 4/18 (36,725)

In the chart, INFINITE is the only South Korean male group that made it to top 5 and even beat other Japanese singers. They got the 2nd spot with the Japanese version of Be Mine.

[News] Big Bang's "BIGBANG 2" on Oricon Charts!

Big Bang's second Japanese album has ranked among the top selling Japanese albums of 2011. Oricon charts released it's ranking of the 100 top CD albums for 2011, and Big Bang's "BIGBANG2" was ranked in 63rd place.

The rankings only count the physical sale of album, not the internet/online purchasing of MP3s. Still, Big bang managed to sell a amazing 98,854 units!

Recently, on December 14th, Big Bang has released their newest Japanese album, "The Best of Big Bang", a compilation of their best Japanese songs, along with their DVD recording of "Love and Hope Tour 2011". Both of which have been very well ranked on Oricon's daily charts, having not even been out a full week yet.

And finally, in January Big Bang's unit group GD&TOP are to release the Japanese version of their ever popular single "Oh Yeah", featuring 2NE1's Park Bom. Congratulations Big Bang on such great 2011 sales, and good luck in the coming year!
