Actor Lee Wan was officially discharged from the army and returned to the arms of his fans at his discharge ceremony in Yongsan.

On April 23rd, an event to celebrate Lee Wan’s discharge was held at Defense Agency for Public Information Services. Many reporters and his Japanese fans came to the event despite the bad weather.

At the event, Lee Hwan was asked about his older sister, Kim Tae Hee. “My sister didn’t come to see me although she lived near by. I was hoping she’d come today, but she didn’t even know I was being discharged today when I called her. She kept talking about how she broke her computer instead.”

The actor also got laughs saying, “My sister actually helped me a lot. When I was serving in the military, I gave nearly 2,000 autographs of my sister away. So I could have an easy time in the military.”

“I keep joking, but I did receive a lot of help from my sister in my life and especially in the military,” he said on a more serious note.

Lee Wan was also asked which girl group he liked the best, to which he replied, “I knew I’d be asked this so I thought about it. I like 2NE1, and I even had their picture up in my cubby. Park Bom is my favorite member, and she was a great source of strength during my service.”

Parties related to Kim Tae Hee’s management agency told Star News, “Kim Tae Hee is aiming to appear in a production in the second half of this year.”

Last year’s hit Japanese drama featuring Korean actress Kim Tae Hee, “My 99 Days With a Star,” will air in Korea for the first time on April 12 on Fashion N.

More than a year after she starred in “My Princess,” this will be the very first showing of Kim’s new drama.

The Fuji TV drama, which aired in Japan from October to December last year, raked in 9 to 10 percent of viewers’ ratings on average, helping Kim become a household name in Japan.

The story of the program revolves around a romance between a Korean actress and a Japanese man of few words. Taecyeon from 2PM also makes a cameo on the show.

Kim Tae Hee's agency confirmed that the actress is planning to make a comeback this second half of the year. An official confirmed that Kim Tae Hee is receiving offers for various roles and one of this is a role in a new drama "7" but no confirmations yet on whether she will accept it or not.

Her agency also shared that they are not yet certain whether Kim Tae Hee's first comeback project will be a movie, drama or an overseas project. They are still considering their options and offers but what is certain is that she will make her comeback this year. Kim Tae Hee's last project in Korea was SBS "My Princess" last year and "Boku to Star no 99 Nichi" in Japan's Fuju TV.

Actress Kim Tae Hee has been forced to pull out of a press conference for a CF in Japan, leading to the event’s cancellation.

On February 21st, Kim Tae Hee was supposed to attend the press conference for her new CF for the Japanese cosmetic brand of pharmaceutical company, Rohto. However, just one day before the actual event, the cancellation occured.

According to Japanese sports newspaper Sponichi, the event got cancelled because of hateful comments on internet community boards and various blogs in light of Japan’s ‘Takeshima Day’ on February 22. Her agency eventually decided to pull her out of the scheduled event because of safety concerns.

Kim Tae Hee appeared in the Japanese drama, "Me and My Star’s 99 Days" but began to receive criticism from anti-Korean Japanese protestors in October 2011. The reason was that Kim Tae Hee had advocated the disputed Dokdo Island as Korean territory.
