Son Ye Jin will be making her small screen comeback for the first time in three years since her previous work in ‘
Personal Taste.’
Son Ye Jin’s agency has confirmed her participation for upcoming drama ‘
Shark’ (working title). She will play the female lead role of Jo Hye Woo, the only daughter of the Gaya Hotel Group, who gives up her position as an heiress to become a prosecutor.
Her character is a passionate but proud independent woman. She knows how to act as her heart tells her to without hesitation and she’s made up of boldness that allows her to stand in front of anyone with charisma.
Son Ye Jin expressed, “I’ve chosen this drama because of the writer and the director, and I was fascinated by the character and some in-depth story line. It’s been a long time since I took on a traditional romance drama, so I am feeling really excited. I hope I can display the emotions of this Hye Woo character to the fullest.”

Along with the final shoot on Valentine's Day, Son Ye Jin prepared chocolates herself and presented them to actors, actresses and staffs. Apparently she was the big hit of the day.
Son Ye Jin is currently looking at her next piece of work now that she is done with "Tower" after proving herself to be the queen of romantic comedies with "
Chilling Romance" that was released at the end of last year. "Tower" is her first blockbuster.

Actress Son Ye-jin celebrated her 31st birthday with 200 fans on Saturday at an event that included a Q&A session and giveaways of her personal movie memorabilia.
Son also celebrated the favorable reviews and turnout for her latest movie, "Chilling Romance" with a unique lucky draw, in which fans wrote their wishes on used cinema stubs for the movie and Son did her best to make the winners' come true.
She also gifted some of the clothing she wore on the TV drama "Personal Taste" to her most avid fans.
Meanwhile, audience numbers for "Chilling Romance," starring Son and Lee Min-ki, hit the 3 million mark as of Thursday.

Son Ye-jin and her celebrity friends Yoon Eun-hye and Song Yoon-ah released a friendly photo of them together.
On December 26th Son Ye-jin released two Christmas party photos of her with Yoon Eun-hye and Song Yoon-ah on her Me2day page.
Along with the photos she said, "Did you have a good Christmas? I send a happy photo of me and some friends I love. Next year let's all be even happier! Boom".
In the photo the three girls warmly have their arms around each others' shoulders and are smiling brightly. They are all wearing Rudolph headbands and laughing, making anyone who has seen the picture smile.
Earlier this year Son Ye-jin had complained that she didn't have any celebrity friends. On November 2nd on SBS's "Nightly Entertainment TV" she said, "I haven't had any celebrity friends, but I am making some now".
Then she said, "I'm close with Song Yoon-ah and Seol Kyeong-gu. Also Kong Hyo-jin, Yoon Eun-hye and I are friendly", turning and saying "Hello" as an unexpected greeting.
