Onew was one of the guests in MBC Radio’s Star Shining Night. It is a radio program simultaneously broadcasted over the Internet. Unfortunately, Onew made a middle finger which was seen by the viewers.
After that unfortunate event, SM entertainment, the agency managing SHINee, stepped up and made an official public apology on March 19. They explained, “Onew was playing around with the other group members as they waited to appear on a radio program when he did that. It was unintentional. It didn't mean to offend or disrespect others. But he is now deeply regretting his mistake."

It was once again revealed that
G-Dragon used to be a trainee under
SM Entertainment.
In the March 15 broadcast of
SBS’ ‘
Thank You’, G-Dragon appeared as guest and revealed, “First I trained for five years in SM, and then I moved to YG Entertainment.”
He continued, “Yang Hyun Suk used to make me write lyrics for one song, and also compose a song every week. I’ve been doing it for 6 years. I started during middle school. I had to make a song and get it checked every week. I did not know where to start and I wondered where it would lead.”
G-Dragon admitted he started feeling progress after about a year. He shared, “As I did it over and over again, writing lyrics became easier than eating.”
What do you think? What if G-Dragon had been a part of TVXQ or even Super Junior?

SHINee’s latest hit track, “
Dream Girl”!
The agency recently released a dance cover video featuring the
Super Junior,

(omitted unrelated parts) Poised at the intersection of two countries’ fast-moving pop cultures and cutting-edge media technology, the sprawling genre colloquially known as K-pop has operated outside the American pop limelight. But that’s changing. A-list producers like will.i.am, Diplo and Kanye West are lining up to work with South Korean artists like 2NE1,
GD&TOP and JYJ.
(omitted unrelated parts)The overwhelmingly single-gender bands, cast by talent agencies for Korean corporate label conglomerates like SM Entertainment and
YG Entertainment, created fierce and ever-evolving loyalties — imagine picking your favorite Beatle or Rolling Stone if there were 10 of them.
Songs and especially videos were quickly passed over high-speed Internet and mobile devices several times faster than what’s available in America. Sites like AllKPop and magazines like KoreAm chronicled the exploits of the young, fashionable and lightly transgressive stars — when
GD&TOP and pop singer Hyuna saw singles banned by South Korea’s major broadcasting networks, that made for delicious scandal. In August, Billboard launched a K-Pop Hot 100 chart to track the genre’s sales.

Girls’ Generation has formed its first unit group since debuting in 2007, and named the unit as ‘TaeTiSeo’. The name is based on first Korean characters of the three members Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun.
In a lot of cases, unit groups come up with completely different names in order to distinguish them from their original groups. Particularly, Super Junior had named their own sub-unit ‘K.R.Y’, while After School has ‘Orange Caramel’ and Rainbow with ‘Pixie’. However, SM just gave Girls’ Generation’s unit a plain and rather harder to pronounce name, ‘TaeTiSeo’.
A representative from SM Entertainment explained, “We named them using the first letter of each member’s name because Girls’ Generation’s unit group is not permanently set. Depending on their song and album concept in the future, the members can definitely change. Waiting to see which members will form a new unit will become fun for the fans.”
“Since the members can keep changing, we had to pick a name that’s easy to remember and not so confusing to the fans”, the agency added.
Meanwhile, all the tracks of Girls’ Generation TaeTiSeo’ mini album “Twinkle” will be first released worldwide through iTunes on April 29th.
