Pledis Entertainment, the label that houses to After School and Son Dambi, has announced that they will be debuting a new idol group this year. After already debuted their new male group, N'UEST and currently gearing up for the debut of girl group Hello Venus, Pledis is set to debut a grand 17-member male idol group.
According to Pledis Entertainment on April 26th, the group, tentatively named as ‘Seventeen’ will be made up of 17 members averaging 17 years old. The group will not only lead activities in South Korea, but also prepared to focus on activities across Asia right at the start of their debut.
After their debut as a group, the boys will be split into units to promote separately in Korea, China, and Japan with promotional tactics tailored to each country.

Pledis Entertainment has announced the official debut date of its latest girl group, Hello Venus.
On April 24th, Pledis updated the official Hello Venus website with a teaser image. Donned in flower hats and snow-white dresses like goddesses in the teaser poster, Hello Venus is set to make their debut on May 9th.
Hello Venus will be comprised of six members including Yoo Ara, Nara, Alice, Ra Im, Yoon Jo, and Yoo Young. They possess the lively and friendly feeling of “Hello” and the beauty and love of the goddess “Venus.”

After unveiling its new male group NU’EST last month, Pledis Entertainment will debuting its latest girl group, Hello Venus.
On April 17th, Pledis revealed a picture of Hello Venus on through their official website. The new sister group of After School and NU’EST will be comprised of six members including Yoo Ara, Nara, Alice, Ra Im, Yoon Jo, and Yoo Young. Hello Venus possesses the lively and friendly feeling of “Hello” and the beauty and love of the goddess “Venus.”
Some members have a growing fan base already prior to their debut, including Yoo Ara and Yoon Jo who made their names as Pledis’ main trainees. Yoo Young, the youngest member of the group, was born in 1995.
Pledis Entertainment stated, “Hello Venus will depart from the classical image as the female god Venus, as they will greet the public with their friendly appearance as the new 21st century Venus.”
The group is currently busy filming their music video and taking photo shoots for their debut in May.

Pledis Entertainment, the home of

Pledis Boys, is partnering with a few companies to hold a idol competition for young kids.
They wish to participate even more in the Hallyu Wave and find young talent that can be promoted in both domestic and international activities.
Eligible participants must be between the ages of 7 to 17 and can apply from January 1st to February 4th.
The successful applicants will be announced on February 7th.
The winners will be placed in rookie group. They will receive training courses for their substantial future entertainment activities along with a number of special perks.
