Singer and actress Park Ji Yoon has been cast as a bad girl with fatal appeal in Channel A's upcoming TV series.

According to the show's promoter, Bliss Media, Park Ji Yoon has been cast for the role of Oh Hyang Gi, who is the first love of Cha Seung Hyuk, to be played by actor Ryu SiWon, on the Channel A drama "Goodbye Dear Wife" which is set to hit the airwaves on the 7th of May.

In the series, helmed by Kim Pyung Joon, Park Ji Yoon's character Oh Hyang Gi is a divorcee who tells Cha Seung Hyuk to his wife (played by actress Hong Soo Hyun) to restart their relationship.

Park Ji Yoon, who is currently on the tvN TV program "Opera Star", is coming back as an actress for the first time in a year since "Lie to Me" last year.

A representative stated, "Oh Hyang Ki is a character who shakes up Cha Seung Hyuk with her cold and warm appeal when needed. She is an actress who has all of these mysterious attractions. It seems like many men including Ryu SiWon himself will be falling for her."

Meanwhile, "Goodbye Dear Wife" is a romantic comedy about the love war between married couples after marriage.

Singer Park Ji Yoon will be performing her biggest hit "Coming of Age Ceremony" on the next episode of KBS 2TV's "Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook".

"Coming of Age Ceremony" was released in 2000 as part of Park Ji Yoon's fourth album. It is the song that completely transformed Park Ji Yoon with a sexy image. She spent the last 12 years trying to avoid performing the song in order to shed this image.

During the shoot for the episode, Park Ji Yoon shared many interesting stories with the MC Yoo Hee Yeol. She also earned a warm applause from the audience, singing comfortably with her guitar in hand.

After three long, quiet years, singer Park Ji Yoon is back and released her 8th full length album on February 16th. The album, which was produced the Park herself, features eleven tracks including the title song, "Tree of Life".

On March 4th episode of SBS Inkigayo, Park Ji Yoon kicked off her comeback performance with her hypnotic and melodic new track "Tree of Life". She has reemerged and reinvented herself as a former teen idol, and now as the CEO of her own management company, parkjiyoon creative.

Meanwhile, Park Ji Yoon's fans were ecstatic to hear that she would also be joining an upcoming survival singing competition show titled "Opera Star 2012".

Famous composer Yoon Il Sang recently released new album "I'm 21" in celebration for his 21st year anniversary in the music industry. He personally selected some of his own favorite hits and collaborated with hottest artists to create modern remakes of his songs.

For the third round of digital singles, new cover tracks by top artists Lee Eun Mi and Kim Bum Soo have been released. The first track features Kim covering the beloved hit song "I Have a Lover", which was originally sung by Lee, while Lee’s rendition of Park Ji Yoon’s "Steal Away" puts a tango twist on the original reggae-infused track.

The music video for the new releases has been also released. The video contains snippets of both songs. Additionally, singer/actress Park Ji Yoon and rookie actor Kim Bum Jin were featured in the video.

Singer Park Ji Yoon opened up about her personal struggles with former agencies JYP Entertainment.

On February 7th, Park Ji Yoon made a guest appearance on Story On's "Lee Mi Sook's Bad Scene" and revealed she was never really at rest since her debut up till her last days with JYPE.

The singer began by explaining why she didn’t sign with JYPE again, "The period after my promotions for my 6th album, ‘I Know How‘, was around the time when my contract with the agency was supposed to end. I worked hard over the years, but I wasn’t thought of as family, and was left alone. It saddened me."

MC Kim Young Chul showed his surprise and commented, "If you had remained at JYP, you might not have had to go through such hard times for the past six years."

Park Ji Yoon replied, "It seemed like they didn’t really want me. They did talk of renewing my contract but we naturally didn’t do so."

She continued, "I was pretty well-known by then but the CEO of JYPE at the time asked me to get plastic surgery. As I thought of it later, I think it was a message to leave on my own."

Meanwhile, Park Ji Yoon will be making her comeback after 3 years with her 8th full-length album. She will also be joining the upcoming survival singing competition show "Opera Star 2012".

On February 7th, 30-year-old singer updated her Twitter, "“Last day of recording. ^^", and uploaded a photo of herself playing the guitar.
