Singer BoA has recently been selected as the new model for the fashion brand, Benetton.
On March 20, BoA attended the fashion brand Benetton’s event dubbed “The Face of Colors” in Yeoksam, southern Seou, where she was announced to be the 10th model chosen for the brand. The singer also became the first Korean singer to model for United Colors of Benetton.
During the event, each model was given a color to represent their unique charms and backgrounds. BoA’s color is silver, to which she commented, “It’s a futuristic and flashy color.”
BoA makes her brother, Kwon Soon Woo, worried. In her recent post in her twitter, she showed how she is devoted to SBS’ That Winter, The Wind Blows saying to his brother to be like Zo In Sung.
She tweeted her oppa, ““Oppa~ Oppa~~ You are an oppa too, but why are you not the same with Osoo? Is it because you are a real oppa?”
Kwon Soon Woo replied, “My younger sister watches too many dramas….it worries me. ^^ TT Kekekeke.”

Singer BoA showered her praises for labelmate TVXQ’s Yunho’s excellent acting.
On March 11, BoA tweeted, “Ohhhhh~~~ Jung Yunho!!! Brother~~~~your crying acting is alive~~~~ I was really surprised~~~Friend, continue to work hard, fighting ^^ Please show your support for ‘Queen of Ambition’s Yundolie.”
BoA and Yunho are from the same agency, SM Entertainment, and have been close friends for a long time. BoA has been very supportive of Yunho who is currently starring in the SBS drama ‘Queen of Ambition’.
Hallyu artists BoA, Jang Geun Suk and Big Bang’s Daesung have scored big on Japanese Oricon chart.
According to the Oricon website on February 28th, Jang Geun Suk and Big Brother’s Team H landed at number two with its first studio album ‘I Just Wanna Have Fun’ on the Oricon Daily Chart. The album, which was released in China as well, is filled with upbeat and electronic tracks.
Big Bang’s Daesung released his first solo album ‘D’scover’ on February 27th, and debuted fourth on the Oricon Daily Chart on the same day. To celebrate his solo ventures in Japan, he will hold his concert tour starting in March through June.
On the other hand, BoA stood at number nine on the same chart with her latest Japanese single “Only One”. The single is the Japanese version of the song that she released in Korea last year.

The add was for a famous sound system in Taiwan where BoA was the model for the brand. This only proves that BoA is truly a hallyu star being famous worlwide. Following the release of posters of the groups SHINee and f(x), SM Entertainment released new poster for upcoming movie “I AM” featuring the ‘Asia’s Star’ BoA!
As previously revealed, “I AM” movie will document the performances and daily lives of SM artist at the previous “SMTOWN Live in New York” held at Madison Square Garden. The biographical movie, directed by Choi Shinsung, will feature SM artists including Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, f(x) and SHINee.

Look's like BoA had a lot of fun filming for SBS "Running Man". On the 2nd of April, BoA updated her twitter account saying, "You want to see me on Running man aside from K-Pop star? I filmed for Running Man and I took this photo with Gary!".

The poster and teaser of the movie “I AM”, featuring SM Entertainment artists, has been revealed.
“I AM” documents the making of history, as SM Entertainment artists including Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee and f(x), become the first Asian artists to stand on the stage of New York’s Madison Square Garden. The film attracts interest as it depicts the scenes of SM Town artists, who have gone beyond Asia to the world, before and after their performances, as well as while they prepare for their stages.
In the second movie poster which was revealed this time, what is seen is not the glamorous on-stage looks of the artists, but rather their casual and natural appearances, increasing the anticipation which people have for the movie.
Also, the teaser of the film “I AM” captures the nervous expressions of the artists before they go on stage, and the preparation which they undergo behind-the-scenes in order to present passionate stages for the fans. The film is labelled “The first, the best, and with the most possibility”, hinting at the real side of these artists which can be seen.

It has been a while since we last saw BoA participate in a variety show aside from SBS "Kpop-Star audition" where she participates as a judge and fans expressed their excitement on the news. SBS’s popular audition program, ‘K-Pop Star’ has confirmed to produce another season which will start up its production in May.
According to an SBS official on March 30th, “The new season of ‘K-Pop Star’ will have its first episode broadcasting in November. Just like the first season, the three agencies SM, YG and JYP will participate.”
The official continued, “The three judges BoA, Yang Hyun Suk and J.Y. Park are determined to ride on the success of season one and create an upgraded version of it next season. We will showcase a more stylish and perfected form to become the biggest show in Korea.”
