Open World Entertainment has issued an official apology regarding the recent
arrest of the CEO due to sexual assault charges.
On April 17th, an official letter of apology was issued on their website stating, “We bow our heads to offer our deepest apologies, and we are deeply remorseful for subjecting everyone to great disappointment.”
They continued, “The reports in the media regarding the involvement of agency’s celebrities are false. The artists under our agency were deeply hurt by these unconfirmed accusations and reports that were linked to them.”
The letter then pleads with the mass media regarding unfounded reports, “We ask you to refrein from writing speculative articles in order to prevent our celebrities from experiencing backlash by simply being under the same agency.”
They concluded the letter with another grave apology, “One again, we bow our heads and offer our deepest apologies for causing concern over terrible incident.”

The Boss has issued an apology on their official Japanese website regarding the Open World Entertainment’s
CEO arrest.
On April 16th, The Boss posted a notice on their Japanese website stating, “We deeply apologize for the worries due to some reports about us in Korea. We’re currently investigating the truth behind the reports. As soon as we find out whether they’re true or not, we’ll let you know.”
However, first stament from The Boss, who is under Open World Entertainment, is believed to be more from The Boss’ Japanese agency, Sony Music Japan.
Due to ongoing scandal, The Boss has
postponed the release of their 1st full-length album “Shadow”. Other singers including X-5 from the agency halted its activities as well.

Due to the arrest of the Open World Entertainment’s CEO, The Boss will be postponing their 1st full-length album “Shadow” until further notice.
Last week, the CEO of Open World Entertainment has been
arrested and currently under going investigation. He was charged with habitual sexual harrassment, assault and rape of his singers, trainees and aspiring singers.
As a result, The Boss, who is under the same agency, has stopped all of their schedules. After the release of two
video teasers earlier this week, the company stopped uploading new videos, focusing on the situation of the company instead. Other singers including X-5 from the agency halted its activities as well.
The Boss was initially scheduled to release their album on April 17th. Due to all of the commotion, the release date will be postponed to a new date hasn't been confirmed yet.

The CEO of Open World Entertainment, the agency that houses celebrities such as Shin Jin Soo, The Boss, X-5, and Shinhwa’s Jun Jin, has been revealed to be arrested and currently under going investigation for alleged charges of sexual harassment.
According to the Seoul Gangnam Police Agency, CEO Mr. Jang was arrested by undercover detectives at his office building in Seoul on April 10. He was charged with habitual sexual harrassment, assault and rape of his singers, trainees and aspiring singers.
The police have been gathering information about Mr. Jang for the past month and have engaged in private investigations with over 30 victims. The police then received an arrest warrant the day after Mr. Jang returned from Japan, arresting him at his own building in Gangnam.
After the arrest, they issued a search warrant to search the company′s office, and the agency’s celebrities, including The Boss, have been investigated for any harm they may have suffered.
An official stated, “We’ve been receiving countless reports that the CEO was using his higher position to regularly sexually harrass and assault his trainees. Over 20 victims are involved in the case.”
